As with many brushless motors this size these are rated for 2-3s but since I fly 4s that's what I'll test them on.
Pros
- Comes with 2 sets of screws: One longer and one shorter. The shorter worked great for 4mm arms.
- Not a lot of play in motor wires
- Clean windings
- Shaft is part of the bell.
Cons
- Short motor wires. This isn't an issue for some but could be for others. If they are longer you can always trim them but if they are too short it can be a pain.
- Pretty warm on 4s with 5040 and 5045 props.
- Really hot on 4s with 6040. Not recommended!
- One out of two motors have bearing issues I have to look into.
Neutral
- Doesn't come with a prop washer but the prop nut is so large I think it's fine.
Conclusion
- Appears to be a good motor for the price. Once I have a few more motors tested on my setup I'll have a better idea if it's efficient and/or powerful compared to other standards.
- Don't run 6" props with 4s on this baby. The smell I got after running it for 3-5 seconds was not pleasant.
